If you go down to the woods today...

Due to some rather unfavourable weather conditions of late, I have been unable to get further out to some of the more scenic areas. This has led me to explore areas which are relatively close to the city and you can see still offers fantastic views.  It's hard to believe this locale is a stones throw from the airport runway!

The sunset is split.

Poser!

The moss was striking.

I'm pretty sure that's an Ent!

Stunning views close to the main road.

I do like to live beside the seaside...

With another sunny day upon us, I decided to stop by the beach and grab some shots.  The more shots I can took, the more I realised what an art this is and how much there is to learn.  None the less, I roll on with my quest.

Enjoy!

A Spark of Life...

I started thinking about all those fast events in life and I wondered if I could capture one of those moments with my camera.  I set a fast shutter speed and began to experiment.  My aim was to try and convey a sense of stillness in an event which is anything but...

The Adventure Begins...

Recently I purchased my first 'proper' Camera.  The idea was to document my adventures and try and convey a sense of what it's like to just explore the world around you.  Luckily I stay about 90 mins drive from some pretty amazing scenary I didn't even know was there.  This blog will hopefully chronicle the evolution of a noob photographer with lofty ambitions to a master snapper or whatever Jedi level picture makers are called.

At this point, I have owned my Camera for 2 weeks.  All images in this post are unedited, only resized and saved as 9-11 JPEG quality from Adobe Photoshop CS3.  Images were captured on a Canon EOS 600D using a Canon 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens unless otherwise stated.
